Eleanor Grace Belleau of Warren graduated from Thiel College in Greenville on May 6 with a bachelor of arts degrees in accounting and business administration. She received departmental honors and was named an Outstanding Senior by the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA) and Thiel College. Belleau was recommended for the award by Gary J. Witosky, CPA, an accounting professor at the college, for her success in the classroom and potential for a promising career in accounting. The award is given to one senior accounting major at each of 80 participating Pennsylvania colleges and universities. Recipients are given a certificate, a medal, and a complimentary one-year affiliate membership with the PICPA that gives them access to programs that will help them pursue their CPA license.

Erin Belleau has received the Founder's Day award at Gannon University for excellence in psychology. She is a December graduate of Gannon. Belleau will be working with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in Raleigh, N.C. She is the daughter of Glenn and Mary Belleau of Warren.

Amber Niedomys, Warren, presented "The Art of Interaction: Community and Conversation" at the seventh annual Undergraduate Scholars Forum at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She is the daughter of Peggy Sue and Vincent Niedomys and a 2007 graduate of Warren Area High School. Close to 200 students participated in the event, which showcases original undergraduate research, art work or performing arts compositions. Niedomys is a dean's list student.

Anne Kathleen Blackman, daughter of the late James C. Blackman and Kathleen Blackman, has been accepted as a Bloomberg Scholar at Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore, Md. Blackman will graduate with honors from Bluffton High School, Bluffton, S.C., on June 5. She is president of the National Honor Society and editor-in-chief of the school newspaper in her junior and senior years. She has also volunteered at Maranatha Farms Animal Rescue, tutored at Red Cedar Elementary School, and is the first junior member of the board of directors for the Friends of the Bluffton Library.
She is a recipient of the Michael Bloomberg scholarship, and has also been awarded the Hilton Head Home Builders scholarship, the Ella C. White Memorial scholarship, the Rotary Club of Hilton Head Scholarship, and the Al Rueben Memorial scholarship. Blackman earned the distinction of honor roll at the Technical College of the Lowcountry and Presidents List at the University of South Carolina Beaufort as a result of dual enrollment in her senior year. She intends to pursue a double major of history and international studies. She currently resides in Bluffton.

Amanda Yeaples-Coleman, a 2000 graduate of Youngsville High School, received a juris doctor degree from the University of Dayton School of Law on Jan. 15. She graduated from Penn State in 2008 with a bachelor of arts degree in law and society. She has been recognized for achieving academic excellence in law school with five CALI Excellence for the Future Awards; legal writing (2) , criminal law, labor and employment arbitration, and complex civil litigation. Yeaples-Coleman was a staff writer for the University of Dayton Law Review in 2010-2011 and a comment editor for the Law Review in 2011. An article that she authored has been selected for publication in the University of Dayton Law Review. She was admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania in April 2012.

Kelli A. Fasenmyer, a 2010 graduate of Warren Area High School, has been named to the dean's list at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park, for the spring 2012 semester. She is currently majoring in biobehavioral health in the College of Health and Human Development.

Kayla Bullock has been recognized by the U.S. Achievement Academy as a student of excellence in English. Bullock, a student at Youngsville High School, was nominated by teacher Char Eggleston. Her name will appear in the academy's yearbook which is published nationally. Students earn the honor of being listed through dedication to excellence and achievement, academic performance, interest, aptitude, leadership qualities, responsibility, enthusiasm, motivation to learn and improve, attitude, cooperative spirit and dependability. She is the daughter of Melissa nd Robert Bullock of Warren.

Brendan Scott Lyle will work as an intern for the Department of Defense at Mercyhurst University this summer. Lyle was among 11 candidates chosen from 33 applicants to be a member of the department's Center for Intelligence Research Analysis and Training Team. Lyle is majoring in intelligence studies and will begin his junior year at Mercyhurst this fall. A 2010 graduate of Warren Area High School, he is the son of Gregory and Pamela Bonace Lyle of Warren.

Eric C. Moore, son of Randy and Kristin Moore of Warren, has been accepted to the University of Pittsburgh Bradford for pre-med beginning with the fall 2012 semester. He has also been awarded a Pitt-Bradford Panther Scholarship. During high school Moore has been active in his church and is employed at Kmart in Warren.

Jenna Frye graduated on May 19 from the Mylan School of Pharmacy at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. She is the daughter of James and Cheryl Frye of Warren. Frye has excepted a position with Wal-Mart in Virginia Beach, Va.
