Aggravated assault. Warren-based state police responded to a reported aggravated assault at Warren State Hospital at 10:30 a.m. May 27. According to police, the victim, a 31-year-old female working as a psychiatric aide, told them that she was physically assaulted by a 38-year old female patient, causing injuries to her face, head and neck. Police said the victim was treated at Warren General Hospital. Police said felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor simple assault and summary harassment charges have been filed at District Justice Laura Bauer's office.
Theft. Conewango Township police are investigating thefts from two vehicles late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. According to police, someone entered the vehicles of Mark Wilson and Tina Struzik, which were parked unlocked at 16 Mapleleaf Place, North Warren, and took a Garmen Nuvi GPS unit and two pair of Jensen infrared earphones. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.
Brokenstraw Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based state police responded to a reported incident of domestic violence shortly after midnight on May 26 on Route 6 between Youngsville and Route 62. According to police, a 35-year-old male from Youngsville and a 29-year-old female from Warren subjected each other to physical contact. Police said charges of harasment were filed through District Justice's Cynthia Lindemuth's office.
Pittsfield Twp.
Burglary. Personnel at Tussey Mountain Cabins, 122 Tussey Lane, reported to Warren-based state police that between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. May 24 someone entered a workshop and removed four Dewalt circular saws, a 16-inch Makita circular saw, a Duo-Fst framing nailer, a M28 right-angle drill, and a 201-piece Craftsman took set. Police said total value is approximately $2,300. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crime Stoppers.
Burglary. Warren-based state police are investigating a series of burglaries that occurred between 3 p.m. May 23 and 3:30 p.m. May 25 in a field off of Couvers Crossing Road, a quarter mile from Old Pittsfield Road. According to police, someone broke windows on two of the victims' campers and rummaged through a third, unlocked camper but took nothing. Police said the victims are a 29-year-old female from Pittsfield, a 44-year-old male from Corry and a 47-year-old female from Youngsville.
Sugar Grove Borough
Possession. Warren-based state police said they were notified after parents in Sugar Grove found their 15-year-old son in possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:35 a.m. May 27. Police said a juvenile allegation will be filed through the Warren County Juvenile Probation office charging the juvenile with an Act 64 violation.
