Summer Reading

Program

The Sugar Grove Free Library will once again hold a summer program. This four-week reading program is offered to all children from kindergarten to high school seniors.

This year's theme "Go Green" will be incorporated into the books that are read. Participants will enjoy fun crafts, and explore the different ways to recycle, reuse, and repurpose items from around their house. Prizes will be given to the most books read as well as for the most interesting project that incorporates recycling to help the environment.

Creative Card Class

Come and join us at the library for our creative card class. Meetings are held once a month with a special Christmas in July party where you can make a card or work on your own creations. Refreshments will be provided. At the monthly meetings you can create two cards, one of which is always a Christmas card so that when that time of the year rolls around again you can send beautiful hand-crafted cards to all your friends and relatives. The library is also in the process of setting up a card making station for community members to come in and try their hand at the art of card making.

The next meeting is June 11 at 6 p.m. The class will meet July 19 and also July 21 for the special Christmas in July.
