Simple assault/harassment. Warren-based state police responded to a physical altercation on Homestead Drive at approximately 5 p.m. on May 22. According to police, Renee Steele, Youngsville, was involved in a physical altercation with a known female, also of Youngsville. Police said Steele was placed under arrest for simple assault, harassment and disorderly conduct, arraigned before District Justice George Gregory and committed to the Warren County Jail in lieu of $8,000 bond.
Conewango Twp.
Retail theft. Personnel at Wal-Mart reported to Conewango Township police that a 16-year-old male allegedly consumed $4.68 worth of merchandise without first paying for it at approximately 7:05 p.m. on May 18. According to police, a summary count of retail theft was filed at District Justice Laura Bauer's office.
Retail theft. Personnel at Wal-Mart reported to Conewango Township police that Samantha Phillips, 22, Youngsville, allegedly attempted to steal $72.86 worth of merchandise at approximately 6:25 p.m. on May 22. According to police, Phillips was cited for retail theft; charges were filed through District Justice Laura Bauer's office.

Indecent assault. Warren-based state police said they filed charges following an incident which occurred between 9:57 and 10:01 a.m. on May 22 at Sheffield Area High School. According to police, charges of indecent assault were filed with the Warren County Juvenile Probation Department against a 13-year-old male after he forced a 13-year-old female into having indecent contact with him against her will.
