On Boys Tennis
Dear editor:
I'm not surprised in the least that the tennis team has achieved the superlatives that has been their trademark. Since the advent of the sport, the program has been piling up accolades at an incredible rate. I've been silent for all these years, as my daughter and stepdaughter went through the program, and they both had a great experience under the tutelage of Coach Bartsch.
I've been singing Jeff Bartsch's praise for a long time, and I have tempered my remarks as not to sound prejudiced. Although I only went to one match this year, I watched with interest, as I was taken by how well this team seems to get along. In addition, I don't see the kind of ego that you would think - given their successes. As a tennis enthusiast, I'm very proud of all you guys, and please know I have your backs.
As for Coach Bartsch, this latest addition to the tennis legacy in our community is extraordinary. Well done, Coach. As for the young men: you'll always have my respect.
Respectfully submitted,
Michael R. Olson

P.S. The successes of this season will serve you well, as you will compete for a wife, a job, and in all aspects of your life. I'll be watching as you strive to be exemplary adults.
