Learn about herbs
Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., Warren will have a program on the "Versatility of Herbs" presented by Wanda Buerkle at 12:45 p.m. Wednesday, May 23. Buerkle will talk about the health benefits of different herbs and many different things one can do with herbs, rom the lowly dandelion to the fabulous flax; participants will learn plenty of new information. Class will be in the recreation room.
Roast beef served
Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., will have a roast beef dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, May 31. Dinner will include roast beef, baked potato, vegetable, carrot cake and beverage. Cost will be $7 per person. Reservations are appreciated; call 723-3237
No bingo
There will be no bingo this Friday, May 25, at Allegheny Community Center, 42 Clark St., due to Memorial Day holiday.
Win at bridge
The results of the Monday evening duplicate bridge game at the YMCA: Beth Howe and Carol Lake, first with 21.75; June Borger and Hal Conarro, second with 21; Magda Fanaritis and Doug Megill, third with 20.75. There will be no bingo next week. The next game will be at 6:30 p.m. on June 4.
Events canceled
The ham dinner planned for May 23 and the auction planned for May 26 in Grand Valley have been canceled.
