Warren Area High School's baseball and softball teams both finished as co-region champions, and advance - along with Eisenhower's baseball team and Youngsville's softball team - to the District 10 playoffs beginning next week.
Eisenhower's baseball team is 6-10. They were the second place Class A team out of Region 4 at 4-2 and an at-large team in the playoffs. The Knights will play Conneaut Lake (11-7) at 4 p.m. Monday at Ainsworth Field in Erie in the six-team bracket,
Youngsville was the top Class A softball team out of Region 4, and advances to play West Middlesex at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Allegheny College.
Both Warren teams received byes, and will play later in the week.
Warren's co-Region 6 champion softball team ( 17-1) will play Region 5 champion Hickory (11-5) at 5 p.m. Thursday at Allegheny College.
Warren's co-Region 8 champion baseball team (14-2) will play the winner of Grove City and Harbor Creek at 6:30 p.m. Friday at Slippery Rock University.
