Party politics

May 17, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

The Democratic Party is not what it used to be, as Mr. Sarvis has stated in his letter in Readers Forum.

The Democratic Party was once the largest political party.

Once any political party gets to far outon moral issues like gay marriages, abortions, they tend to lose rural America and Christian voters until right now the Republican Party makes up almost half of American voters.

Thirty one states have outlawed gay marriage; 70 percent of Americans are against abortion. A majority of Americans want concrete steps to stop illegal immigration and hispanic voters from control over America elections.

Why does the majority never get what they want written into law? Why no Brooklyn American accent in our leadership?

In a supposed free country people now pause to wonder who is in charge? Maybe Mr. Sarvis needs to ask who is really in control?

If it's not a real Republican and not a real Democrat, who is it?

Good Day,

Shannon John Hannah

Warren
