Third place
This group of boys from Warren County finished third out of eight teams in the Meadville Mayhem Classic 12-and-under baseball tournament this past weekend. Warren pulled out a dramatic late-inning victory over the FLAG Falcons (Girard), highlighted by catcher Aidan Morrison’s first home run, a 3-run shot over the fence in left-center, and advanced to the semifinal. The Erie Outlaws won the tournament on Sunday. J.V. baseball
Warren's junior varsity baseball team won twice in recent days by identical 9-0 scores. In a win over Meadville on Monday, Darin Francisco threw a one-hit shutout over five innings, striking out eight. Austin Schwanke and Eddie Ord contributed two-run doubles.
In an earlier game, Tanner Teconchuk struck out give to get the win, 9-0 over Fort LeBoeuf. Schwanke's three-run double, and Matt Hultquist had two hits in the win.

Steve Gelotte had low gross of 39 and Bill Kunselman had low net of 24 in Blueberry Senior Golf League play Monday at Blueberry Hill Golf Club. Bill Wilson had second low gross of 40 and Jim Senger and Bob Wolfe shared third low gross of 41. Jim McCollough had second low net of 30, Lloyd Gray had third low net of 31 and Randy Grant had fourth low net of 32.
