Warren Area High School junior Sabrina Anderson has been an Athlete of the Week nominee more times than we can count. This past week, Anderson took another leap forward when she tied a school record high jump that has stood since 1987. Anderson's school-record-tying mark of 5-foot-5 inches tied Missy Larme's mark from 25 years ago, plus Anderson won the 200-meter dash, 400, and was part of the winning 4X100 relay team in Warren's Region 3 win over Oil City at War Memorial Field. Before the rains came, Anderson had won two events in a region meet at Youngsville and, two days ago, Anderson tied another mark in the high jump - at the Warren County Track Meet. She's been to states before, so the junior knows how it's done. Anderson is the Times Observer Athlete of the Week, sponsored by McDonald's.
