Warren

Possession. Warren City police said they filed criminal complaints on Thursday charging Anthony T. Ponick, Warren, and Renee L. Steele, Youngsville, with possession of drug paraphernalia after officers came in contact with them at 1:02 a.m. on May 7 at a Main Avenue residence. Police said Ponick was also charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Bad checks. Warren City police said three non-traffic citations were filed on May 9 charging Marvin S. Mack, Warren, after he issued three checks in March to Warren Shurfine that were all returned marked not sufficient funds. Total restitution due is $191.95.

Theft. Warren City police said personnel at Delta Railroad informed them on May 9 that some items were taken from a construction site on Fourth Avenue. An employee told police that someone stole 27 joint bars that were on the ground on a pallet. Each bar is about three feet long, with three to four holes along the side, and weigh approximately 50 to 60 pounds each. Police said the joint bars, which were stolen during the night, are valued at approximately $50 each with a total loss of $1,350. Anyone with information is asked to call the city police.

Aggravated assault. Warren City police reported that at 3:29 a.m. on May 10 officers were dispatched to a W. Third Avenue residence for a reported domestic dispute. Police said Lisa M. Proper, Warren, was taken into custody and charged after she kicked an officer in the leg while trying to attack a known male victim. Proper was arraigned before District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth and placed in the Warren County Jail. Police said she has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment.
