LAWRENCE PARK - Youngsville dropped back to the break-even point Wednesday with a 6-3 loss to Iroquois in Lawrence Park.
For most of the game, the Eagles (7-7) were unable to get any kind of offensive threat going. When they finally broke through for three runs in the fifth inning, it was only enough to cut Iroquois' four-run lead to one.
The big fifth inning for Youngsville included a two-run single by Kennedy Cratty and an RBI single from rightfielder Julia Sveda. The Lady Eagles finished the contest with just four total hits with Amber Fox and Judi Lewis also collecting singles.
The Eagles will try to go back above the .500 mark on Thursday when they host North East.
