Things were crowded at the top during the sixth week of shooting in the Warren County Scholastic Trap League, but when the dust settled, it was the Sheffield shooters that boasted the biggest day.
The Wolverines nipped Youngsville, 167-166, to not only record the week's highest score, but also close in on league leader Corry. The Beavers were on bye this week and lead the standings by two points (one win) after a strong week six victory by the second-place Warren White shooters.
Sheffield's victory was highlighted by the perfect score of 25 from Matt Bell. Youngsville also got a perfect score of 25 from Jeremy Stover.
In other action, Warren White topped Warren Blue in all-Dragons battle, 166-159. Eisenhower also was victorious, defeating Tidioute, 162-146. Eric Cecco had a perfect score to pace Warren White while Scott Saporito did the same for Warren Blue. Eisenhower's Ethan Black broke all 25 targets to lead the Knights and Tidioute was led by the 23 of Jordan Yeager.
On bye this week, Corry was led by the 24's of Dalton Sipes and Cale Morse.
