Senior Center Menu
Thursday, May 10 will be sloppy joes, dessert and beverages.
Monday, May 14 will be fish, dessert and beverages.
Tuesday, May 15 will be ham, scalloped potatoes, dessert and beverages.
Thursday, May 17 will be hot turkey sandwiches, dessert and beverages.
Call the senior center at 484-3020 to sign up for lunch so the ladies in the kitchen prepare enough food for everyone. And you can also sign up to ride the bus.
Kindergarten
To Entertain
Students in the Tidioute Community Charter School kindergarten class will be visiting the Tidioute Senior Center on Tuesday, May 15 at 10 a.m. to sing for the senior group.
Anyone who would like to come and hear the children sing is invited to come to the senior center prior to 10 to get a seat.
Rain date is set for Tuesday, May 22 as the students walk to the center from school and back to school.
Little Miss
Tidioute Community Charter School will be holding the Little Miss Contest for students in grades kindergarten to grade six on Thursday, May 10 at 6 p.m.
All contestants will be judged on appearance, poise, personality, creativity and talent.
The pageant is open to the public and all are encouraged to attend for support for the contestants.

Prom Time
Tidioute Community Charter School will hold its prom on Saturday, May 12 from 7 to 11 p.m.
Measure Up
The St. John's Knights of Columbus will conduct their "Measure-Up ARC of PA" campaign this weekend after Mass on Saturday and Sunday.
They will also be distributing rulers at Northwest Savings Bank on Friday, May 11 and at the Tidioute Trading Post on Saturday, May 12.
Proceeds benefit the Warren/Forest counties ARC for people with learning disabilities.
At the council's meeting on May 3 members were presented with two awards. One from the PA State Council for the best Public Relations in stated Division one and the other was from ARC for exceeding their goal in the last year's campaign.
Accepting the awards on behalf of the council were Gary Koech, FS and Howard Klingenberg Grand Knight of the Tidioute Knights of Columbus. The awards were presented by Charles Mahood, DD85.
VFW Post 8803
VFW Post 8803 will hold its monthly meeting on Sunday, May 13 at 9 a.m. and Servicemen's Home Corporation will hold its regular meeting on Sunday, May 13 at 9:30 a.m., respectively.
After the meetings the sign-up for the annual golf tournament will be put out for members to sign up for.
Ladies Guild
Rummage Sale
St. John Church Ladies Guild is having a rummage sale on Friday, May 18 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. and Saturday, May 19 from 9 a.m. till 4 p.m.
They will accept donations of household items, and only clean, gently used clothing.
These items can be dropped off at the center on Thursday, May 17 after 2 p.m.
Cash Raffle
St. John Ladies Guild members are still selling the Cash Raffle tickets for $10 each
First-place winner will receive $50, second-place winner will receive $100, third-place winner will win $ 250 and fourth-place winner will receive $500.
All tickets will be in all the drawings. The drawing will take place when all the tickets are sold.
WWII Reenactment
Saturday, Aug. 4 at 3 p.m. there will be the third annual WWII Reenactment along the Allegheny River at Tidioute and in Limestone Township.
Come and see the Battle of the Bridge at Remagen.
The German Ludendorff Bridge was the only bridge across the Rhine River that was captured by American Forces during WWII. Watch as the bridge is being blown up with pyrotechnics provided by Cartwright Fireworks.
And finally the capture of the bridge and the defeat of the German Forces.
This event is hosted by the 99th Infantry Division 393rd Regiment, Easy Co. Reenactment Group (Battlebabies), Tidioute Borough and Limestone Township. Sponsored by Cartwright Fireworks.
Their campground will be located on Rt. 62 just south of the Tidioute Bridge.
On display will be authentic WWII American and German uniforms, equipment and vehicles.
There will be a special viewing stand for veterans only.
Hygiene Kits
Students in the Tenth Grade Service Learning Class at Tidioute Community Charter School are organizing a project that involves teaching students the basic rules of good hygiene and providing students in grades four through 11 with a hygiene kit full of basic grooming care items.
Items are being collected in donations boxes located in local businesses.
Items needed include shampoo, deodorant, cotton balls, hair brush/comb, disposable razors, soap, body wash, band aids, mouth wash, toothpaste, floss, wash cloths, fingernail clippers, and any other items as needed.
Kits will be made up of items for suitable for each age group.
If you would like to donate items or money to purchase items with, you can leave it at the Community Charter School or deposit items in one of the drop-off boxes.

Memberships
Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department Ambulance Service has mailed out the ambulance memberships for 2012.
Senior memberships for those on Social Security/Medicare is only $30, family memberships are defined as anyone residing at your permanent residents (must be listed on application) is only $35, seasonal memberships cover anyone visiting or staying at your camp, cottage or residence for only $50.
Applications can be picked up at Buccardo's Restaurant, Tidioute Trading Post or from the fire department. Mail the entire application back to the department with your check made payable to Tidioute Ambulance Service and mail it to P.O. Box 122, Tidioute, Pa. 16351.
Mobile Food Pantry
Tidioute will hold its Second Harvest Food Bank on Saturday, May 19 at 10 a.m. at Tidioute Firehall.
Turkey Party
Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament will host a Turkey Party on Sunday, May 27 at the Tidioute Firehall.
Door open at 6:30 p.m. and the games will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Door prizes will be collected from local merchants and drawn during the evening.
Car Show
Wheels and Deals Car Show will be hold on Saturday, May 26 on Fishing Tournament grounds.
Registration will begin at 9 a. m.
Farmer's Market
Vouchers
Once again the Farmer's Market vouchers will be distributed in Tidioute on Tuesday, June 19 from 9 to 11 a.m.
This is for a $20 voucher and is based on your income.
For a single person age 60 or older the income is $20,665 and for a couple it is $27,991.
