The Youngsville at Eisenhower baseball game postponed on Friday will be made up at 4 p.m., Tuesday, at Russell's Werner Park.

Ike softball

Eisenhower dropped games on Thursday and Friday of last week to fall to 1-13 overall on the season.

Girard topped Ike, 7-0, in five innings on Thursday before the rains came. Brooke Stanton had Eisenhower's only two hits in the loss.

On Friday, North East scored four runs in each of the third and fifth innings to win, 10-0.

Bob Wolfe had low gross of 37 and low net of 31 in Blueberry Senior Golf League play Monday at Blueberry Hill Golf Club. Pat Hultquist had second low gross of 40 and Jim Senger and Bill Wilson shared third low gross of 41. Tim Bleech had second low net of 32 and Bill Kunselman and Wilson shared third low net of 33. Lloyd Gray, Dave Progar, Wolfe and Larry Brown had birdies during play.

Mark Thompson had low gross of 36 and Al Suchar had low net of 31 in Senior Men's Golf League play Friday at Cable Hollow Golf Club. Ross Cali and Suchar shared the high point total with 8.5, Thompson had an eagle, Glenn Cook, Art Cagle, Thompson, Ralph Gallo, Larry Anderson, Bob Buerkle, Joe Bender, Ray Harris and Dave Youngberg all had birdies and Jim Terrill, Al Ludwick and Dave Guiffre all had five pars.

Youngsville High School graduate and Waynesburg University senior pitcher Ben Oviatt allowed seven runs - four earned - on seven hits with a walk in just two innings of work during a 10-2 loss to Westminster Friday in New Wilmington.

Youngsville High School graduates and Mansfield University men's track & field team members Bob McCoy and Max Lalwani helped the Mountaineers' 4X400 relay team to a ninth-place finish at the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) Championships Saturday at Bloomsburg University. The team broke its own school record with a time of 3:21.11. McCoy and Lalwani were part of Youngsville's 4X400 relay team that finished sixth at the PIAA Championships a year ago.

Warren Area High School graduate Tyler Leichtenberger took the loss for the Rochester Institute of Technology in an 8-7 loss to Rochester College on Sunday. On the season, the sidearming right-handed closer has a school-record seven saves with a 3.54 E.R.A. over 20 1/3 innings. He has 17 strikeouts and seven walks over that span.

Gymnastics

Warren County YMCA Powerhouse gymnastics team member Hanna Taylor competed in the Optional States competition this past weekend in Upper Bucks, Pa. Here are Taylor's scores from the event:

Old-Timers

The Jamestown and Area Old-Timers Baseball Club has released their schedule for the 2012 season. The Old-Timers are part of the Ohio 50 Plus Baseball League and compete against teams from four states. The league consists of three divisions: 50+ American, 50+ National and 58+.

The Old Timers will play up to 26 games this season, including scrimmages with the Jamestown Fire Department, several Alley Catt League teams from Pennsylvania and the Pro Bats Yankees, a father-and-son team from Dunkirk, N.Y. Jamestown will play each of their 50+ American Division rivals twice each this season and the lower 50+ National Division once each. The season concludes with a final two-weekend tournament in Struthers, Ohio, that begins Labor Day weekend.

The Youngstown based 50 Plus Baseball League includes teams from Ohio, West Virginia, Pennsylvania and New York. The Jamestown Old-Timers team consists of a diverse 20-man roster with players 47 years and older from Jamestown, Dunkirk, Fredonia, Silver Creek, Cherry Creek, Frewsburg and Tonawanda, N.Y., and Warren, Sheffield, Youngsville and Dubois.
