SOFTBALL: Wolverines fall to 2-10

May 8, 2012
The Times Observer

SAINT MARYS - Elk County Catholic wasted little time in disposing of Sheffield on Monday, defeating the Lady Wolverines, 17-0, in Saint Marys.

The Crusaders plated six runners in the opening inning, but it was an 11-run second inning that ended the contest after just two and a half innings via the 15-run rule.

Sheffield (2-10) was limited to just two hits in Monday's contest, getting singles from Justine Barr and Brooke Hoffman.

Sheffield squares off with this same Elk County team Thursday in Sheffield.
