Trapshooting

Busti outgunned Carroll, 341-332, and Randolph downed Celoron, 343-338, Thursday in the Chautauqua County Trap League.

Tim Young had a 50 for Busti, Mike Mackey for Carroll, and Marty Gawron had the lone 50 in the match for Randolph.

Ryan Gorgacz long jumps for Beaty Warren Middle School recently at the Union City Invitational junior high track meet. On Wednesday, Gorgacz set a junior high school record at Beaty with a long jump of 19 feet, three inches at the Beaty Invitational at War Memorial Field. High lady was Laura Spiridon with a 48. High junior was Derek Rumsey with a 47. High sub-junior was Dalton Becker with a 44. High vet was Dave Straight with a 49. High senior vets were Al Staerr, Gary Sickles, D.J. Bifaro,Hod Edgreen and Bill Boyles with 49s. High super senior vet was Bill Dallas with a 46.

Tidioute defeated Sheffield, 346-329, Sugar Grove I beat Brokenstraw, 339-337, Sugar Grove II topped Pine Grove, 340-337, and Kalbfus beat Corry, 341-325.

Jr. high track

The Beaty boys track team won the 13 team Beaty Junior High Track and Field Invitational Wednesday at War Memorial Field. Beaty was led by Ryan Gorgacz, who won the 100-meter dash and the long jump. His jump of 19 feet, three inches set a new Beaty record. Sage Anderson was Beaty's other winner, in the discus.

On the girls' side, Youngsville's Kimmie Lindstrom was a three-time winner - the 100, 200 and 400, and the Youngsville 3200 relay team of Leigh Fehlman, Hannah Morris, Lydia Swartzbaugh and Brooklyn Messinger took first. Emily McJunkin, of Eisenhower, won the high jump.

Claudia Olson finished first in the discus for Beaty.

No team results were included.
