Summer Camp

Registration

The Sugar Grove Free Methodist Summer Day Camp Program is now taking registrations for the coming 2012 summer. The Day Camp offers different options - full-time,

part-time, or drop-in day care services or weekly camp enrollment. The Sugar Grove Free Methodist Church has been granted a license by the State of Pennsylvania for day care services. The Summer Day Camp facilities, program, and staff meet all state regulations for a licensed day care and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, handicap, ancestry, national origin, age, or sex.

The camp is now certified in New York State and can take subsidized children from Chautauqua County. Assistance to defray the daily fees of the Summer Day Camp Program is available through the Subsidized Child Day Care Program in Pennsylvania. Contact the Economic Opportunities Council of Warren County at 726-1361.

The facility will be open Monday through Friday, 6:45 a.m. to 6 p.m., from June 11th through August 17th, 2012, with the exception of July 4th when they will be closed.

Prices for this summer will be as follows: $22 per day per child, $12 per half day per child (4 hours), $20 registration fee per child and if you have two or more children enrolled, the fee is $20 per day, per child for a whole day and $10 per half day, per child. Children and their families will be asked to participate in some fundraisers to help keep the cost Day Camp down.

The mission of the Summer Day Camp Program is to provide a Christ-centered environment. Both educational and physical fitness activities are provided for children entering kindergarten - 7th grade this fall. The Summer Day Camp will strive to maintain a staff/child ratio of one teacher to ten students.

Field trips are a very important activity at Summer Day Camp and at least one is planned each week. Parents are required to sign a form giving the child permission for attendance and transportation on field trips.

If you would like more information on the Summer Day Program or on the Subsidization Program, please call the church office at 489-3105.
