Eco-concern

May 2, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

When my Head Start class of 3-5 year olds were asked, "What can we do to take care of the earth?", I heard these responses....

-flowers...put 'em in a plant.

-I do the garbage at my house. I get it outside. It wasn't hard! We can show people how we pick up our stuff!

-with babies and boys.

-Go to the store and get some milk.

-We can throw the trash in garbage cans.

-Pick up the garbage.

-Don't throw trash on the ground! We should pick up the books. We shouldn't keep going on a dog or cat on the road.

-Plant flowers.

-Have you ever found a baby bird out of a tree?

-We can plant our own flowers.

-Turn off water!

-I like the earth!

Whether we're 3 or 93, let us all do our part for the earth! Remember Earth Day not just on April 22.
