Time change

The Eisenhower at Northwestern softball game scheduled for Saturday will begin at 4 p.m. due to SAT testing. The game was originally scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at Northwestern High School in Albion.

Fourth place as team

The Kinzua U-12 boys fell to Greenville United, 3-2, on Sunday. Griffin Suppa and Ethan Goldthwaite scored goals for Kinzua (2-1), and Jimmy Lobdell had an assist. Lionel Eason and Connor Guiffre were in goal for Kinzua.

Rescheduled

The Warren at McDowell baseball game originally scheduled for Monday was postponed. The game will be made up at 4 p.m. Thursday in Erie.

The Youngsville at North East baseball game originally scheduled for Monday was postponed. The game will be made up at 4 p.m. Tuesday in North East.

The Youngsville at Eisenhower softball game originally scheduled for Monday was postponed. The game will be made up at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday at Eisenhower High School.

The Eisenhower at Seneca baseball game originally scheduled for Monday was postponed. The game will be made up at 4 p.m. Tuesday in Wattsburg.

Mat Club

The Eisenhower Mat Club will hold a meeting at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in Room 309 of the high school.

Gymnastics

Russell's Jesse Valone and Columbus' Cheyenne Mora competed for the Stroup's Shooting Stars gymnastics team at the 2012 Spring Graffiti Invitational held April 21-22 in West Seneca, N.Y. Together, they helped Stroup's to a sixth-place team showing in the Prep Op standings.

Valone was third on the beam with a 9.00, seventh on the floor with a 9.10, eighth on the vault with a 9.05 and scored an 8.40 on the bars. She was seventh in the all-around with an overall score of 35.55.

Mora was third on the vault with an 8.35, scored an 8.75 on the floor, a 7.80 on the beam and a 7.75 on the bars. Her all-around score was 32.65.

Golf results

Steve Gelotte and Pat Hultquist shared low gross of 41 and Tim Bleech had low net of 33 in Blueberry Senior League play Monday at Blueberry Hill Golf Club. Jim Senger and Wayne Swanson shared second low gross of 42 and Albert Hawley had second low net of 34.

Gelotte and Hultquist had two birdies each during play and Senger and Larry Anderson added one each.

Shirley Pearson had low gross of 53 and Angie Pellegrino and Grace Backstrom shared low net of 37 in Thursday Morning Ladies Golf League play at Cable Hollow Golf Club. Here are the complete results from the round:

First Flight: Low gross- Shirley Pearson 53, Mary Mackey 55, Sue Ferranto 56; Low net- Grace Backstrom 37, Mary Lou Scully 41, Blanch Swaney 45

Third Flight: Low gross- Diane Sheesley 61, Jeanette Carlson 65; Low net- Geri Swanson 42

Fourth Flight: Low gross- JoAnn Anderson 67, Priscilla Spencer; Low net- Angie Pellegrino 37

Cycling

Teamwarrenadventures.com/Allegheny Cyclery competed in the fourth round of the PICC Spring Training Series Sunday in Fairview. Kristen Ewings earned the team's first win of the season in the Women's Elite race. Ewings not only won the race, but lapped all the riders in her division, including the series leader.

Jeremy Bickling placed second in the Men's Elite A race. Alex Phillips was running well in the Men's Elite B race, but was unable to finish due to a mechanical incident with his bike.

College news

Warren Area High School graduate and Thiel men's track & field team member Charlie Thomas placed fourth in the triple jump for the school at this past weekend's President's Athletic Conference Championships at Geneva College. Thomas' best jump was 42 feet and three-quarters of an inch.

Over 30 softball

Tuesday is the opening night of the Over 30 Softball League, playing Tuesdays at Betts Park. Here is the slate of games for May 1:

May 1, 2012

6 p.m.: Buckhorn vs. Crescent Beer, Betts Field; Freddie's vs. Meridian Hardwood, Foley Field; Blue Ribbon Rentals vs. Club Buck, Brown Field

7:30 p.m.: Kwik Fill vs. Mangione Beverage, Betts Field; Bullpen vs. American Legion, Foley Field

9 p.m.: Accent Staffing vs. Midtown Motors, Betts Field

Jr. high track

A group of five Youngsville junior high girls track & field team members placed fourth in the team standings Saturday at the Johnsonburg Track & Field Invitational. Hannah Morris had a first in the 800 with a run of 2:47.88. Morris also teamed with Leigh Fehlman, Lydia Swartzbaugh and Kim Lindstrom to finish fifth in the 4X400 relay and with Fehlman, Brooke Messinger and Swartzbaugh to finish third in the 4X800 relay.

Lindstrom added a second in both the 200 and 400 and a third in the 100, Fehlman was fourth in the 1600 and Messenger was fifth in the 1600.
