The Warren County Trap League will open its season Wednesday. Brokenstraw will be shooting at Tidioute, Sheffield will visit Pine Grove, Kalbfus will compete at Sugar Grove I and Corry will visit Sugar Grove II.

The Johnsonburg at Sheffield softball game postponed on Monday will be made up at 4 p.m., Friday, May 18, at Sheffield Area High School. The Sheffield at Youngsville game originally scheduled for May 18 has been canceled and will not be made up as a make-up date for the contest was not possible.

Youth soccer
The Kinzua U14 boys soccer team defeated Oil Region, 3-0, on Sunday. Josh Eernisse, Tristan Boger and Austin Constable scored goals and Boger added an assist. Mason Mohney and Noah VanHouten combined for the shutout in goal.
Big 30 news
Warren Area High School senior Mack Engstrom is the latest county football player to be added to the Pennsylvania roster of the annual Big 30 Don Raabe Charities Classic football game scheduled for Saturday, August 4, at Bradford's Parkway Field.
