ERIE -Warren started a little sloppy, but picked up the offense to the tune of a 15-1 Region 6 win over Strong Vincent on Thursday.
"We came out sloppy in the first couple of innings, defensively, and that's just not like us," said Warren coach Mark Bupp. "But the girls came in and actually had runners on second and third, and we worked out of that jam."
After Alexa Bupp's two-run shot - her third homer of the year - gave the undefeated Lady Dragons (8-0) a 2-0 lead, a Warren fielding error and then wild pitch gave Strong Vincent its only run of the game.

"We have to continue to play at a high level, get back to doing what we do," said coach Bupp. "We play in a tough region."
Warren settled down and Rachel Hasselman's three-run double gave Warren a 5-1 lead in the top of the third.
Bupp added a two-run double and Hasselman an RBI triple in a five-run fourth. Valerie Latimer's pinch-hit two-run double and Kaitlin Ishman's two-run homer highlighted a five-run fifth that gave Warren the five-inning win.
Ishman finished 3-for-4 with three runs and two RBI, Jaimie Eaton 2-for-3 with four runs, Bupp 2-for-4 with three runs and four RBI, and Hasselman 2-for-4 with four RBI. That was most of the damage from the 1-4 hitters.
Bupp struck out eight, without a walk, over five innings for Warren, which is 6-0 and in first place in the region.
The Dragons visit Corry on Saturday.
Taylor Mineweaser and Erica Blair each had three hits, and Meghan Loutzenhiser struck out eight in five innings, in Warren's 15-2 junior varsity win.

General McLane 8, Youngsville 7
Youngsville's Amber Fox did everything she could offensively to give her Eagles a victory over General McLane Thursday at Youngsville High School.
It wasn't quite enough.
Despite a five-RBI performance - including a pair of key hits with the Eagles down to their last out - Fox and the Eagles fell just short, dropping an 8-7 loss to General McLane in nine innings.
During the fourth inning, Fox was hit by a pitch while completing her second at-bat. Until that point in the game, that was the only way the Lancers were hitting Fox.
The senior pitcher cruised through the first four innings, facing the minimum of 12 batters. In the bottom of the fourth, Youngsville broke through to take a 2-0 lead.
Kennedy Cratty started the rally with a single and moved to second when Fox was plunked. With Shelby Anderson at the dish, a Lancers pitch got past the catcher and Cratty broke for third. The throw to third sailed wide and Cratty scored to make it 1-0. During the confusion, Fox was able to advance to third. She would score two batters later when Judi Lewis delivered an RBI single, making it 2-0.
Things went south for the Eagles in the top of the fifth. Three defensive errors and three walks - including two with the bases loaded - led to four General McLane runs and the Lancers led 4-2 after four and a half innings. That score held until the seventh when McLane added a run to push the lead to three.
Down to their last three outs, things looked bleak for the Eagles. The first two batters were set down in order and Youngsville had just out remaining. Colleen Rex kept the Eagles alive with a walk and Cratty singled again, bringing the tying run to the plate in the form of Fox.
The senior slugger came through in a big way. Fox sent the second pitch she saw screaming to the left-center gap and easily raced around the bases to score before the ball made its way home. The three-run homer tied the game at 5-5 and sent the contest to extra innings.
Both teams failed to score in the eighth, but the Lancers found a way to bust through in the ninth. With two out, two strikes and a runner on third, McLane's Bre Elder singled to left to bring home the go-ahead run. After the visitors loaded the bases, the Lancers' T.L. Wreh-Wilson came through with a big hit, driving home a pair and making it 8-5 as the game entered the bottom of the ninth.
Again, Youngsville didn't go down quietly.
With one out, Kelsey Anderson fouled off four straight pitches before working a walk. Rex followed with a single, putting two on and bringing the tying run to the plate. After an Eagles strikeout, Fox came to the plate with runners on second and third. This time, Fox deposited a pitch into right to bring home a pair and make it 8-7.
Fox promptly stole second base, but a pop fly on the infield proved to be the final out of the game and the Eagles fell one run short.
Youngsville (4-5) returns to action Saturday, traveling to Wattsburg for a region game with the Seneca Bobcats.

Seneca 14, Eisenhower 4
The winless Knights fell behind quickly, giving up seven runs in the first, and could never recover.
All four Knights runs came in the fourth inning during a rally that included a Natasha Morrison double and a Kearsten Maine triple. Kelsey Repke was the lone Knight to have a multi-hit game.
Maine started the game for Eisenhower (0-9) and took the loss. Kristen Williams relieved Maine early and pitched the remainder of the game.
The Knights will continue to look for their first win of the season when they travel to Northwestern Saturday.

Ridgway 11, Sheffield 1
Sheffield scored first, but Ridgway scored most during an 11-1 decision Thursday at Sheffield Area High School.
The Lady Elkers were held scoreless by Wolverines freshman pitcher Maddie Fiscus during the first three innings and built a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second. Hannah Vile doubled - providing what would be Sheffield's only hit of the game - and moved to third on an errant throw.
Moments later, a Ridgway pitch got past the catcher, allowing Vile to score and put the hosts on top, 1-0.
Ridgway found its offense in the top of the fourth inning, scoring twice in each of the fourth, fifth and sixth innings. For good measure, the Elkers plated five more runners in the seventh inning to complete the scoring at 11-1.
The Wolverines (2-5) return to action Monday, hosting Johnsonburg.
