Youngsville could have a winning record at this point in the season.
But several errors on defense have dropped the Eagles to 1-5 overall - and 0-1 in Region 4 - after 4-3 extra-inning loss to visiting Mercyhurst Prep on Wednesday at Davis Street Field in Youngsville.
Youngsville lost its second extra-inning game in six days on Wednesday, committing six errors in a game in which none of the seven runs given up by either pitcher were earned.

"We just have to regroup," said Youngsville coach Tom Craig, whose Eagles travel to Iroquois on Friday for another region game.
Youngsville's Cory Craig struck out 16 over eight innings on Friday in a 2-0 nine-inning loss to Titusville last Friday.
On Wednesday, Craig struck out 11 in eight innings, allowing four runs on six hits. All the runs were unearned.
Craig struck out his 11th batter in the top of the eighth, but the batter reached due to the pitch being in the dirt. That batter eventually scored the go-ahead run on an error, according to coach Craig.
James Frazier and Caleb Linkerhof finished with two hits each for Youngsville. Josh Lewis tied the score at 1-1 in the bottom of the first with a ringing double. Youngsville tied the game again at 3-3 in the fifth after a Mercyhurst Prep error.
