A story in the April 12 edition of the Times Observer about the City of Warren Police Department quoted Chief Raymond Zydonik as saying state police could be relegated to interstate duties. Sgt. David Gluth, commander of the Warren-based state police station, said that wouldn't happen nor would the station be closed. Zydonik also mentioned city police sometimes cover for state police, but Gluth said the departments only provide backup for each other in such cases.
