Warren

Arrested. Officers of the Warren County Adult Probation Department arrested Matthew Gray, 23, on April 12 on charges of parole violation. Gray, who was originally placed on parole on a charge of identity theft, was arrested on a supervisor's warrant and committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Cherry Grove Twp.

Simple assault. Warren-based state police arrested Matthew Aikens, 32, Clarendon, on April 12 on a charge of simple assault. According to police, Aikens struck a nine-year-old male at 10:30 a.m. April 6 at a Cherry Grove Township residence, causing bodily injury. Police said Aikens was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson; bail was set at $25,000 unsecured with no contact with the victim.

Deerfield Twp.

Burglary. Brian Kwitowski, 53, reported to Warren-based state police that someone had entered his camp on Ross Hill Road between Dec. 9, 2011 and April 14. According to police, the intruders discharged a fire extinguisher throughout the camp and stole a Homelite chainsaw, a Poulan chainsaw, a flashlight and several rounds of ammunition. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police or Warren County Crimestoppers.

Mead Twp.

Charged. Warren-based state police responded to Budget Lodge at 10:10 p.m. April 12 for a reported incident. According to police, Bryce Blackman, 26, Warren, was found along Route 6 outside Budget Lodge causing a disturbance while intoxicated on suspected bath salts. Police said disorderly conduct and public drunkenness charges are being filed with District Justice Laura Bauer's office.
