BRAVO

Restaurant’s assistance

April 14, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

I would be remiss in not letting Warren County know how appreciative I am of one of its restaurateurs.

My husband, Robert Carduner, was buried in St. Joseph's Cemetery on Saturday, December 3, 2011. I soon realized that searching for a restaurant to host a repast for 100 guests from my home in New Jersey was likely to be time consuming, so I phoned a cousin who lives in Warren, Joe Wozneak, for a suggestion. Joe immediately recommended Chiodo's on Pennsylvania Avenue West. He said he had gone to school with Frank Chiodo and that he and his family frequently enjoy meals there. Although Chiodo's is not open for lunch, Frank, one of the brothers and owners, after confirming his staff would be willing to work that afternoon, called back and said they would be happy to accommodate our group. He said he realized we had enough on our minds and as long as he had staff, he was happy to help out so that we didn't have to worry about where 100 people were going to eat.

The meal was not only spectacular and unending; the staff could not have been kinder or more considerate. They kept the bread, salad and beverages coming and quickly responded to any requests made.

Warren County should be very proud of the Chiodo family. They unselfishly came to our aid during such a difficult period.

Thank you to Frank and Louis Chiodo and their staff.

The Carduner/Wozneak Family
