PFA violation. Warren County Sheriff's deputies arrested Joseph A. Williams, Warren, on a violation of a protection from abuse order after he made contact by phone with the victim through third party means on several occasions. Williams was incarcerated in the Warren County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Crash. Warren City police responded to a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Hickory Street and W. Third Avenue on Thursday. According to police, a blue Subaru Impreza, driven by Thomas Smith, Warren, was southbound on Hickory Street and failed to stop at a red light. Police said Smith proceeded through the intersection and struck a red Volkswagen Jetta, driven by Todd Betts, Warren, on the passenger side. Smith's vehicle had moderate front-end damage and there appeared to be radiator fluid leaking from the vehicle. Betts' vehicle had moderate damage on the passenger side. Both doors had been dented inward and some of the metal from the rear passenger door had been scrapped back, tearing a hole in the door. Smith's vehicle was towed from the scene. Police cited Smith with failure to obey a steady red traffic light.

Aggravated assault. Warren City police reported that Steven R. Snyder, Warren, caused a disturbance in the basement of the Warren County Courthouse at 2:03 p.m. Wednesday during central court and was ordered to leave. Police said Snyder continued to cause a disturbance, using foul language, and fled from officers as they were attempting to arrest him. Police said he kicked an officer in the kneecap area, causing him to fall backwards. Snyder was charged with aggravated assault, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. He was arraigned before District Justice Glenn Carlson and placed in the Warren County Jail.
