Warren couldn't have asked for a better day to start the 2012 track and field season.
The results weren't too bad, either.
Warren started the season right with a sweep of visiting Titusville Tuesday at War Memorial Field. The boys team held on for a 79-62 victory, while the girls were dominant in winning 106-35.

Warren’s Mark Davis soars over the six-foot bar en route to winning the boys high jump event during a track & field meet with Titusville Tuesday at War Memorial Field.
"We had a lot of great performances today and several people qualify for districts," said Warren girls coach Mark Sweet. "We have a lot of new faces in new places and we were able to see where they will work into our lineup this season.
"We couldn't be happier with the way we started the season," he said. "That goes for both the girls and boys teams."
The Warren boys had just two multiple winners on Tuesday, but had 10 different athletes score a first-place finish. Tanner Rosenberg led the way with three victories and Luke Wortman added two.
Rosenberg was an individual winner in the 400 and 800 and teamed with Jordan Willetts, Caleb Hultman and Wortman to win the 1600 relay. Wortman was also a winner in the 300 hurdles with a run of 41.70 seconds.
Other individual winners for the Dragons included Christian Harrington in the 1600 (4:47.94), Brad Simmons in the 3200 (10:36.67), Mark Stewart in the discus (117'1), Austin Jerman in the javelin (158'8), Mark Davis in the high jump (6'0) and Nathan Zigler in the long jump (19'6).
"Luke Wortman and Nathan Zigler were outstanding in the 300 hurdles, starting the season with 41's and 42's," said Warren boys coach Steve Norris. "Tanner Rosenberg is an outstanding addition to our team and Nathan and Mark Davis were impressive in the high jump.
"Overall, I'm very happy," he said. "We have a lot of work to do in the lower races and sprints and we will work on that, but the guys stepped up and delivered where they needed to today."
Warren's girls team had winners all over the board, including a four-win effort from Casey Kulka. Kulka won the 100 in 13.29 seconds, the 200 in 28.74 seconds and the 400 in 1:05.74. Kulka also teamed with Brooke Armanini, Sabrina Anderson and Kaitlyn Levesque to win the 4X100 relay.
In addition to the 4X100, Armanini won the long jump (14'4) and triple jump (32'2) and Anderson won the 300 hurdles (49.87) and high jump (5'3).
Ellis Beardsley was a three-time winner, earning two individual wins in the 800 (2:36.64) and 1600 (5:56.30) and a relay win in the 3200 event with Anna Falvo, Megan Smoulder and Paige Rimer. Rounding out the Dragons' winners were Rachel Lasecki in the 100 hurdles (17.94) and Izzy Owen in the javelin (85'5).
Warren is off until Tuesday when it travels to Franklin.

MEADVILLE - Youngsville started its track & field season Tuesday on a shortend of a sweep at the hands of the Meadville Bulldogs.
The Lady Bulldogs figure to compete for the region title again this season and handed the Lady Eagles a 118-23 setback and Meadville also won the boys competition, 101-48.
"We were just outnumbered today," said Youngsville girls coach John Victor. "Meadville is very tough, but our girls battled. I was very proud of many of the things we were able to accomplish today."
According to Victor, the Eagles got a win in the 300 hurdles from Cassi Swartzbaugh. Swartzbaugh qualified for districts in the 100 and 300 events and sister Abbie Swartzbaugh also qualified for the D-10 meet in the 300 hurdles.
Youngsville's 4X400 relay team of Cassi Swartzbaugh, Aubree Hendrickson, Lexi Robinault and Kellie Lindstrom earned a hard-fought win in the event, clipping their Meadville competition at the very end of the event.
The Youngsville boys finished the day with three individual winners, including multiple wins by Rocco Gatta and Mike Hamrick. Gatta won the 400 with a run of 51.3 seconds and the shot put with a throw of 41 feet, nine and one-half inches.
Hamrick won the 200-meter dash in 24.6 seconds and the triple jump with a leap of 40 feet, one inch. Youngsville's final win came from Kris Wilcox in the javelin with a throw of 144 feet and 11 inches.
"We were shorthanded today with a bunch of guys out, but I was pleased with the performance of the kids we did have," said Youngsville boys coach Jeff Manelick. "We did well in the areas we thought we'd be strong in and gave ourselves some times and distances to shoot for going forward.
"I was happy with Rocco's 400 time, especially for the start of the season and Hamrick was very strong as well. Wilcox had a great javelin throw for a freshman and narrowly missed districts and Seth Wachter was extremely solid in the throws."
The Eagles return to action Thursday, April 12, at Titusville.
