Mass changes

Saturday night Mass at ST John Church has changed back to 4:30 p.m.

Passover celebration

Seder Meal will be on Wednesday, April 4 at 6 p.m.

Holy Thursday

There will be a 7 p.m. Mass of Lord's Supper on Thursday, April 5 at ST Anthony's Church.

Good Friday services

ST Anthony's will hold Good Friday Services at 3 p.m. on Friday, April 6.

Bake sale

To wrap up the Community Banking Week, Northwest Savings Bank will be holding a Bake Sale at the Bank on Friday, April 6.

This bake sale will be run by two time cancer survivor and retired bank employee-Judy Klinestiver.

This is one of the ways our bank thanks the community and the people who make up the community.

Holy Saturday

Easter Vigil Mass will be on Saturday, April 7 at 8:30 p.m. at ST Anthony's

Sunrise services

A Community Sunrise Service will be held on Sunday, April 8 at 7 a.m. at the Tidioute First United Methodist Church.

All are welcome to attend this service.

Following the services there will be a light breakfast of rolls, donuts and coffee.

Anyone wishing to donated items for this light breakfast is welcome to do so, just bring the items prior to services.

Swedish Church services

The historic Swede Church will be the site of Allegheny Bible Church's annual Resurrection Sunday Sunrise Services at 7 a.m. on April 8.

Breakfast will follow the sunrise services as usual, and this year the breakfast will be at Allegheny Bible Church, RT 62 South of the Tidioute Bridge.

There will also be the 11 a.m. worship service at Allegheny Bible Church as well.

The community is welcome in attendance.

Easter Sunday services

Sunrise Service at First United Methodist Church at 7 a.m.

Services at ST Anthony's will be at 9 a.m.

Services at 11 a.m. at ST John Roman Catholic Church, Presbyterian Church, Baptist Church and Allegheny Bible Church.

Please choose the church of your choice and attend any of these services.

Senior Center menu

Thursday, April 5 will be Chicken Tender subs, Pasta salad, dessert and beverages.

Monday, April 9 Hamburg gravy, mashed potatoes, vegetables, dessert and beverages.

Tuesday, April 10 will be Turkey Roll ups, stuffing, mashed potatoes, dessert and beverages.

Thursday, April 12 will be soup, sandwiches, desserts and beverages.

Easter egg hunt

Tidioute Easter egg hunt will be on Saturday, April 7 at 10 a.m. at Tippy Ballfield, weather permitting. In case of rain showers the hunt will be moved to another location which will be announced at that time.

Parents are reminded to dress their children for the weather, have a container for each of your children to put their eggs in. Please be sure to get your child/children in the correct age group, as the field will be divided into different age groups.

After the hunt is over the prizes will be announced and given to the winners.

Stocking drawing

Pennsylvania State Championship Fishing Tournament will hold the drawing for the six foot Easter Stocking on Saturday, April 7 during the Easter Egg Hunt which is being held at the Tippy Ballfield.

Tickets are $1 each and are available at Polly's ShurSave Market.

Need not be present to win.

Soup Fest

Tidioute Community Charter School senior class will host a Soup Fest on Saturday, April 14 at the Tidioute Presbyterian Church from 11 a.m. till 6 p.m. or they sell out.

The meal will include salad, dessert , beverage and of course all the soup you can eat.

Cost of the meal is $6 and all are invited to attend and support the senior class of TCCS.

Fire Department Aux.

Tidioute Fire Department Auxiliary will hold their monthly meeting on Monday, April 9 at 7 p.m. in the social hall.

Anyone interested in joining is welcome to attend this meeting.

VFD meeting

The regular monthly meeting of the Tidioute Fire Department has been moved to Monday, April 23 at 6:30 p.m.

The revised department by-laws will be read at that meeting and if no changes are needed they will be read for a second time during the May meeting as three readings are needed before they can be past.

Members are urged to attend the monthly meetings.

Anyone interested in renting the social hall should contact Deb Genter, auxiliary president at 484-7407.

Class of 1992

The Tidioute High School graduating class of 1992 will be having a 20th class reunion on Saturday, July 7 from 1 p.m on at Benner Park.

Those attending are asked to bring a dish to share, choice of beverages, and place settings (plates, silverware, cups).

Cemetery meeting

Members of the Swedish Union Church Cemetery group will meet on Sunday, May 6 at 2 p.m. at the Swede Church on Swede RD Tidioute.

Laptop raffle

Tidioute Area Volunteer Fire Department still has tickets on the Toshiba Satellite Laptop Computer.

Tickets are $2 each or 3 for $5, need not be present to win. Tickets are available at local merchants and from any of the firefighters.

Drawing will held on Sunday, April 15.

KofC

The ST John Knights of Columbus have the Knights of Columbus Calendars again this year.

The Donation of $25 and the year runs from June 1, 2012 to May 31, 2013.

There are 365 chances to win. All proceeds go to the Erie Diocese Charities and are ear marked for the Bishop's Youth Ministries Program.

This is there most popular fund raiser because they have so many winners.

Winners are based on the PA Daily Lottery P.M. drawing only.

All numbers played straight as drawn.

TCCS play

The Drama Club at Tidioute Community Charter School will be performing "Snow White and the Not so Seven Dwarfs" on Friday, April 13 and on Saturday, April 14 at the Charter School.

This is open to the public and the community is encouraged to attend.

Calendar party

There is still plenty of time to make plans to attend the Calendar Party that will be held at the Tidioute Community Charter School on Friday, April 20 at 7 p.m.

Cost is only $10 per person. There will tables decorated for each month of the year and the host at that table will be serving foods for that month and provide some activities pertaining to that month.

Door prizes are being collected from local merchants and individuals. If you would like to donate any door prizes or purchase a tickets, please contact Ms. Kelly McKean or Mr. Ryan Guerra at eh charter school at 484-3550.

Dog warnings

Tidioute Police Chief has issued a reminder that dog owners must keep there dogs under control, you need to clean up after your dogs-property owners are complaining about dogs leaving messes behind.

If your dog is outside it must be tied and it can not be on the sidewalk where people can't walk on the sidewalk. Keep the dog closer to the house.

When you are walking your dog it must always be on a leash and under control.

Triumph cleanup

Triumph Township supervisors have announced that they will hold a Spring Clean Up on Saturday, May 5 from 8 a.m. till 4 p.m.

Cost will be $10 per truck load.

Creative Patriotic Art

Creative Patriotic Art Awards for the VFW and it's Ladies Auxiliary of Post 8803 in Tidioute has announced the winners for this year.

First Place winner was Jessica A Schulmann, a Junior at Warren Area High School. Jessica's art work will be sent on for State judging in June.

Honorable Mention went to Gabrielle Cummings, a senior at Eisenhower High School.

Chairperson, Fran Stoneburg, would like to thank all those who participated.

Book sale

Tidioute Public Library will be holding a book sale during the townwide yard sales on Saturday, May 19.

If anyone has any books they would like to donate, please drop them off during Library hours.

The library is also accepting empty ink cartridges.

All proceeds will benefit the Tidioute Public Library.

Library hours are Monday and Wednesday 12 noon till 7 p.m., Friday and Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bible study

There will be Spring Bible Study beginning Tuesday, April 10 starting at 6:30 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church.

This will every other week for starters and we will go from there.

Anyone wishing to participate should contact the church personnel to get signed up, or you could stop by the church on Tuesday, April 10.

TCCS board meeting

The monthly meeting of the Board of Trustees for Tidioute Community Charter School will be Wednesday, April 11 and will begin at 7:30 p.m.

Spring bulb sales

The student Activities Committee Spring Bulb and flower sales are now underway at Tidioute Community Charter School and will continue until April 12. Monies are due at the time of order placement.

Items are $6 each item, bulbs will be delivered to the school on May 10 just in time for spring planting and Mother's Day gifts.

Nancy Coughlin or Terri Konkle, volunteers, have worked very hard to make this fundraiser a great success, your support is greatly appreciated.

Blood drive

There will be Blood Drive at the Tidioute Charter School on Wednesday, April 11 from 12:30 to 6 p.m.

Any student under the age 16 must have a completed registration form and proof of age.

Health Fair results

Tidioute Health Fair turn out to be very successful thanks to co chairpersons Marty Bennett-Tidioute Fire Department and Nancy Mague-Director of Diabeties department at Warren General Hospital.

There were 189 people registered to have the blood testing and another 300 plus dropped by to take advantage of the free testing and visit with the different health care providers that had table displays of the benefits they have to offer.

A big thank you to those who participated including Golden Living, Rouse Home, Darling's Tidioute Pharmacy, Curves, Healing Touch Massage Therapy, Podiatry Association, Urology, Tidioute Police Department, Oil Valley Medicine of Titusville, Warren General Hospital- did blood pressures, weight and BMI, Change the Water, American Red Cross, Warren County Humane Society, Tidioute Lions Club, Tidioute Medical Center, Seneca Eye Surgeons, Hospice of Warren County, Beacon Light Behavioral Health, Area Agency on Aging-Experience Inc., AARP, Great Lakes Home Health Care Services, Deerfield Behavioral Health -WGH, Accute Care Mental Health and Detox program, Jessica Uber and DAC certified addiction council, Deborah Labesky RN and John Graves -head of the Lab at WGH just to name a few.

Thank to the Fire Department Auxiliary for preparing the food.
