Memories of Dr. Peters

March 30, 2012
The Times Observer

The Wilder Museum of Warren County History and the Peters family recently provided a display to Golden Living Center - Kinzua Nursing Home, Water St., Warren, featuring artifacts from Dr. Richard Alan Peters' collection. Before Dr. Peters died in 2005, he practiced medicine in Youngsville, Sheffield and Tidioute. He is fondly remembered for his sense of humor and his large collection of unique, wildly colorful neckties. The Wilder Museum and the Warren County Historical Society have been providing displays to the Golden LivingCenter - Kinzua for several years. According to managing director Michelle Gray, "This display is particularly special because it was specifically requested by the Golden Living Center staff members. Dr. Peters spent many hours at the facility and he is still held in the highest regard today." Dr. Peters' artifacts are on loan from his family and regularly on display at the Wilder Museum, 51 Erie Ave., Irvine. The museum will begin seasonal hours on May 22.
