Bad checks. Conewango Township Police reported that they were contacted by Warren Veterinary Hospital in reference to receiving two bad checks from Alan Ray Wilson, Russell. Police charged Wilson with two counts of bad checks. Wilson issued a check in the amount of $150 that was returned non-sufficient funds and issued additional check for $1,229.54 which was also returned non-sufficient funds. A 10 day letter was sent and Wilson did not respond. One summary count of bad checks was filed and one misdemeanor bad check were filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.
Dog running loose. Conewango Township Police reported that on March 27 at 5:46 p.m. a large brown and white pitbull dog owned by Scott Nichols was running loose in the North Warren area. Police reported that Nichols has been advised in the past to keep the dog secured. As a result of the violation, police charged Nichols with confinement of dogs.
Aggravated assault. Warren-based State Police report responding to an incident of aggravated assault which occurred at approximately 1:10 a.m., Mar. 27, at the Conewango Apartments, Holly St., Glade Twp. involving a known 34-year-old male and a known 26-year-old female. According to police, a verbal argument escalated into a physical altercation involving a knife in which both participants were injured. The 26-year-old female was arraigned for aggravated assault before District Judge George F. Gregory and remanded to the Warren County Jail on $10,000 bail. The 34 year-old male was arraigned for aggravated assault before District Judge Laura S. Bauer and released on $10,000 unsecured bail. State Police were assisted by Warren City Police, Conewango Township Police and Emergy Care. Police did not release the names of either person.
