Cult personality

March 27, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

Barack Obama has stooped to a new low in his self aggrandizement and narcissism. As much as it was wrong for Rush Limbaugh to debase Sandra Fluke, Obama went even further. It was so obvious he came to the aid of a "damsel in distress" to gain political points it was appalling but to turn it into a personal attack against his daughters is nothing less than inflammatory and divisive and self seeking at best.

But his latest foray is even more disgusting in its use of others pain for his own self acclimation and is beyond the pale. He did so by personalizing the tragedy of the death of Trayvon Martin into "his son" being killed. This is egregious self promotion for personal political gain at the expense of the pain and loss of the Martin family and it is loathsome.

In the end it's always about Barack Obama, a person who is demonstrating that he isn't as concerned about being the President and leading all of America as he is about creating a cult personality and cult following. It reminds me of the many dictaors that have bloodied the world stage in their lust for power. God help America to come to her senses and vote this man off the stage before he can do even more damage.
