Basket winners
The Friends of the Youngsville Public Library would like to thank everyone who donated to the library during their 2nd Annual "Love Your Library Basket Extravaganza" Event. All donations directly benefit the Youngsville Library. "This is the second year that the Friends of the Youngsville Library created seven unique and 'prize-packed' baskets for this major fundraiser.
Each basket had a minimum value of $50, however most of the baskets valued from $60-$80," stated Library Director, Kristy Wallace. "What makes this annual basket event so great is that there will always be a wide variety of quality, themed baskets for people to choose from. This year we owe thanks to many businesses that supported this event." Wallace stated. "Richard's Restaurant not only donated a gift certificate but also allowed us to promote our 'Extravaganza Baskets' on site. Valley Bowling encouraged us to keep the Baskets at the bowling alley for the last week of the event and Heaven Scent also provided a gift certificate, was a ticket donation site, and even put cellophane on all our baskets for us-complimentary. Edgewood Motel, Allegheny Artistry, and Sue's Beauty Salon were sites for ticket donations too. We'd also like to thank Sue Smith because although she is not a former member of Friends, she volunteered to collect donations as well. Other businesses that made donations to or sponsored baskets were: Mug's Restaurant, The Galley, Huey's, Pete's Beverage, Warren Auto, Barnhart Davis, Warren Electric, Youngsville Hardware, Watson's Field & Stream, Fitzgerald Trucking, and West Penn Oil Co. We truly couldn't have had as wonderful of a selection of baskets this year without the help of these area businesses."
Each year the Love Your Library Extravaganza will begin on Valentine's Day and continue through March (roughly ending around St. Patrick's Day). This year's Extravaganza winners are (1) Doris Dale Gift Card Tree, (2) Marilyn McMahan Lottery Tree, (3) Jetta Bishop - Great for Kid's Basket, (4) Sheri Kowalski Baking Basket, (5) Olivia Sechriest Cheese, cracker, and assorted beverages Basket, (6) Daniel Dunkle-Great for Guy's Basket, and (7) Rob Buerkle Dinner and a Movie Basket.
