Destruction

March 19, 2012
The Times Observer

Dear editor:

In 1945 the U.S. defeated both Japan and Germany, due to concerted efforts of eleven million troops and the rest of the countries workers.

The war effort provided the largest amount of items to succeed that the world has ever known!

We were the envy of the world!

The transformation from an agricultural country to industrial took place quietly, and put our nation on a road to the middle class and great prosperity.

Every day it seems we invented some new item to make life more manageable, and even rebuilt Japan and Germany. Anyone ever thank us?

Oil played an enormous part in all this transformation as it is the life blood of America as is more precious than gold for our survival.

All the oil we import except Canada comes from nations ruled by dictators and they are bleeding us dry. Out stupid government and Obama cannot seem to realize that if we drill our own oil that gasoline can cost two dollars a gallon as our gas wells have lowered natural gas to under $2.50 per unit from a recent nine dollars. This is simply supply and demand.

In regard to renewable energy, the cost of wind farmer and solar is too expensive. When we have over fifty thousand barrels of oil being extracted in North Dakota alone! Every day!

Obama has so many crazy ideas to ruin this nation including a ten thousand dollar credit for a car that no one wants, and we don't have the electric grid to sustain them. The health care bill, children's lunches and even electric bulbs!

They brag how well the auto industry is doing, and if you look they are taking on China and others for investors. The loans recently have grown for car loans and student loans, and does this not tell you something?

This president has done more to help destroy this nation by ruling as a dictator than anyone I know! Have you seen or heard the tales of Obama's college life, or read the half dozen books about the downfall of the U.S.?

Let's drill our way to oil independence . We cannot survive on high gasoline prices.

If things don't change, this nation will soon be a, "third world country."

Oh well, if I get through December, as the beautiful song says "I'll be all right"! Bless you Marines.

Sincerely,

Harry Sarvis

Russell
