Section 3 champs
Eight members of the Ragin’ Raisins Wrestling Club in Youngsville placed first at the Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Section 3 Tournament held this past weekend at Youngsville High School. All wrestlers have advanced to the PJW Area 8 Championships scheduled for this Friday and Saturday in Corry. Front row, from left, are Jacob VanDee (7-8 year-old, 55 pounds), Ian Proctor (11-12, 90), Jason Skinner (7-8, 60) and Jacob Burnett (9-10, 55), and; back row, Sam Bacon (11-12, 75), Austin Slocum (13-14, 252) and Austin Mattocks (13-14, 132). Area 8 qualifiers
A pair of Warren Little Dragons wrestlers were absent for Wednesday’s photo of the team’s Pennsylvania Junior Wrestling Section 3 placewinners and Area 8 qualifiers. In addition to their teammates, these two grapplers will compete at the Area 8 championships scheduled for Friday and Saturday in Corry.
