Parole violation. On March 4, officers of the Warren County Adult Probation Department arrested Amanda M. Slagter, 33, of Frewsburg, NY on charges of violation of parole. Slagter, who was originally placed on parole on the charge of retail theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, was arrested on a supervisor's warrant and committed to the Warren County Jail pending further court action.

Retail theft. Conewango Township Police filed citations against Mary Lou Silvis, Port Allegany, Pa., and Margaret J. Fuller of James City, Pa., after it was determined that they stole merchandise from Wal-Mart at approximately 9 p.m. on Tuesday. Police said Silvis stole $100.54 worth of merchandise and Fuller stole $42.79. Both were charged with one count of summary retail theft.
