Sentences handed down in Warren County Court

A Conneaut Lake man was sentenced to state prison for a drug-related offense during Warren County court proceedings Friday.

Judge Gregory Hammond sentenced Thomas Newell Houch, Jr., 52, Conneaut Lake, to 1 year to 2 years in a state correctional institution with credit for time served for possession with intent to deliver.

Houch was also ordered to pay $5,600 in fines and fees, undergo DNA testing and forfeit a firearm and automobile in used during the crime.

Also sentenced Friday were:

Adam Troy Anderson, 20, 21 1/2 S. Carver St., to 1 year of probation, 850 in fines and fees, 50 hours of community service and complete recommended treatment for obstructing administration of law or other governmental function.

Bradley Benson Burns, 23, 867 Carrier Rd., Columbus, to 30 days to 6 months in Warren County Jail, $900 in fines and fees, attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, 15 hours of community service and a 12 month drivers license suspension for DUI: high rate of alcohol (BAC .10-.16).

Oscar J. Curtis, 35, Export, to 5 years of intermediate punishment including 30 days in Warren County Jail, 60 days of house arrest and the remainder under probation; attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, follow treatment recommendations, pay $2,350 in fines and fees, an 18 month drivers license suspension and 30 hours of community service for DUI: highest rate of alcohol (BAC .16+) and public drunkenness.

Matthew James Gray, 23, 218 N. Carver St., to 3 years of probation, 40 hours of community service, $1,150 in fines and fees, no contact with the victims, $646.08 in restitution, a drug and alcohol evaluation and follow treatment recommendations for two counts of theft by unlawful taking.

Scott H. Grubbs, 35, 501 Rt. 948 Sheffield to 6 months of probation, $855 in fines and fees, attend and pay for the county's highway safety school and victim impact panel and undergo treatment for DUI: general impairment-incapable of safe driving and driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Garland Dale Haines, III, 25, 127 Spruce Ct., to 60 days to 2 years minus 1 day in Warren County Jail, $750 in fines and fees, 50 hours of community service, no contact with the victim and anger management for simple assault.

Brittany Nicole Hannah, 20, Jamestown, N.Y., to 10 days to 2 years minus 1 day in Warren County Jail with credit for time served, 2 years of probation, $9,344.55 in restitution, $1,900 in fines and fees, 100 hours of community service and no contact with the victims for theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property and criminal mischief.

Lindsey P. Markey, 23, 378 Jacob Ln., to 153 days to 1 year in Warren County Jail with credit for time served, 15 hours of community service, $950 in fines and fees, 15 hours of community service and follow a treatment plan or undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.

Karen A. Matie, 60, 677 Jackson Run Rd., to 6 months of probation, $850 in fines and fees, attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, undergo treatment and 15 hours of community service for DUI: general impairment (BAC .08-.10).

Samantha Ann McGaughey, 24, 16 Creekwood Dr., to $650 in fines and fees, $14 in restitution and no contact with the victim for retail theft.

Beau Tylor Jon McKown, 20, 1866 Rt. 62, Irvine, to 16 days to 2 years minus 1 day in Warren County Jail with credit for time served, 2 years of probation, $1,600 in fines and fees, DNA testing, $9,344.55 in restitution and no contact with the victim for burglary.

Michele Nicole McMichael, 29, 131 Marsh Ave., Youngsville, to 72 hours to 6 months in Warren County Jail, $1,555 in fines and fees, attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, follow the recommendations of Family Services, 15 hours of community service and a 12 month drivers license suspension for DUI: highest rate of alcohol (BAC .16+) and careless driving.

Diane Messinger, 48, Cooperstown, to 90 days of probation, $550 in fines and fees and $445 in restitution for bad checks.

Cheri Lynn Morgan, 42, Kane, to 90 days to 6 months in Warren County Jail to be served under house arrest, $2,055 in fines and fees, attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, a drug and alcohol evaluation, treatment, 15 hours of community service, a 12 month drivers license suspension, $213.47 in restitution and no trespassing at Walmart.

Justin Michael Nelson, 21, to 22 days to 1 year in Warren County Jail with credit for time served, $750 in fines and fees, a drug and alcohol evaluation, treatment and 25 hours of community service for possession of drug paraphernalia.

Donald William O'Keefe, 54, 419 Rankin St., to 3 months to 6 months plus 90 days in Warren County Jail, $2,900 in fines and fees, a 24 month drivers license suspension, attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, a drug and alcohol evaluation, treatment and 15 hours of community service for DUI: general impairment-incapable of safe driving and driving while operating privilege is suspended/revoked.

Sandra L. Pape, 52, 212 S. Main St., Clarendon, to 5 months to 2 years minus 1 day in Warren County Jail, 2 years of probation, $2,700 in fines and fees, DNA testing, pay lab fees and buy money, 160 hours of community service and a 6 month drivers license suspension for possession with intent to deliver and criminal use of a communications facility.

Bjorn M. Rindahl, 19, 10044 Rt. 357, Tidioute, to 72 hours to 6 months in Warren County Jail, 1 year of probation, $2,000 in fines and fees, attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, a drug and alcohol evaluation, treatment, 15 hours of community service and a 12 month drivers license suspension for possession of drug paraphernalia and DUI: controlled substance-Schedule 1.

Richard W. Sturdevant, 41, 13 Madison Ave. Apt. 3, to 6 months to 2 years in a state correctional institution, $1,350 in fines and fees, no contact with the victim, anger management and a drug and alcohol evaluation for simple assault.

Sierra L. Tannler, 19, 114 Canton St., to 2 years of probation, $1,050 in fines and fees, 75 hours of community service, a 6 month drivers license suspension, lab fees, a drug and alcohol evaluation and treatment for criminal attempt (possession of a controlled substance) and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Teresa Ann Weber, 53, Jamestown, N.Y., to 90 days to 5 years in Warren County Jail with credit for time served, $2,105 in fines and fees, treatment, attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, an 18 month drivers license suspension and 30 hours of community service.

Randy S. Wertz, 43, 381 Abraham Hollow Rd., Youngsville, to 72 hours to 6 months in Warren County Jail, 15 hours of community service, $1,605 in fines and fees, a 12 month drivers license suspension and attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel for careless driving and DUI: general impairment-incapable of safe driving.

Elizabeth Ann Wilcox, 45, 601 West St., to 72 hours to 6 months in Warren County Jail, $1,505 in fines and fees, attend and pay for the county's Highway Safety School and Victim Impact Panel, treatment, 15 hours of community service and a 12 month drivers license suspension for DUI: highest rate of alcohol (BAC .16+) and driving on roadways laned for traffic.

Faith Ellen Worster, 32, 190 Dey Ln., Garland, to 6 months to 3 years in a state correctional institution, $1,250 in fines and fees, no contact with the victim and $946.09 in restitution for bad checks.

Jacob Daniel Wurst, 19, Decorah, Iowa, to 30 days to 2 years minus 1 day in Warren County Jail, $750 in fines and fees, 50 hours of community service, anger management, no contact with the victim and $50 in restitution for simple assault.
