Cruelty cases handled by magistrate

March 10, 2012
The Times Observer

According to the Warren County Humane Society, Jake Siliano of 332 Rounds Hill Rd., Sugar Grove, pleaded guilty to two summary charges of cruelty to animals as the owner of one horse and one pig. He was charged with neglect in failing to provide veterinary care and proper food for a red horse that was starved and had to be euthanized due to the condition.

The second cruelty charge was related to a female white pig for neglect, unsanitary living conditions, and insufficient food and water.

He was found guilty following a hearing before District Justice Laura Bauer of a third charge related to neglect of a second horse, which was starved.
