Winter trap
Sugar Grove was the top team in Penn York Winter Trap League competition this week at the Brokenstraw Fish & Game Club. A total of 142 shooters competed in the league this week and the second half standings are currently led by Sugar Grove with Kalbfus and Pine Grove close behind.
Ethan Black was the high junior this week, Andrew Hvizdzak was high sub-junior and Cindy Cable, Laura Spiridon and Bonnie Whalen all shared high lady honors. Spear Proukou was high vet, Dick Starks high senior vet and Jim Stearns and Bill Dallas shared high super senior vet honors.
The final regular shoot of the season is Sunday at Carroll Rod & Gun Club.

Tickets for the Warren boys basketball PIAA Class AAA first-round game against Hampton at 7:30 p.m. Friday at North Allegheny High School, Wexford, will be on sale in the WAHS principal's office from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday through Friday. Tickets are $6 per adult and $3 per student.
