College news
Youngsville High School graduate and Waynesburg University pitcher Ben Oviatt was named President's Athletic Conference (PAC) Pitcher of the Week for the week ending March 5. Oviatt pitched Waynesburg to a pair of victories in his first two starts of the season, throwing all 14 innings and yielding just three earned runs.
Following a 5-3 win over La Roche in which he gave up just two earned runs, Oviatt scattered seven hits and allowed one earned run in a 5-1 victory over Trine College.
