Crash. Warren-based State Police responded to a crash on Route 62 south of Shady Ridge Road on March 4 at 7 a.m. A 2008 GMC Canyon, driven by Dennis P. Ewing, Kane, was traveling northbound on Route 62 when sudden icy conditions appeared. Ewing lost control of his vehicle, which went off the east side of the roadway, sturck an embankment, then rolled onto the roadway on its rook. Eqing was transported to Warren General Hospital for the treatment of minor injuries. Russell VFD assisted at the scene.
Southwest Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based State Police reported that Phillip J. Wagner, 18, Titusville subjected a known 47 year-old female, also of Titusville, to physical contact at their residence on Route 27 on March 3 at 4 p.m. Wagner was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. Charges have been filed with District Justice Cynthia Lindemuth.
Sugar Grove Twp.
Crash. Warren-based State Police responded to a one vehicle accident on Route 957 near the intersection with Creek Road on March 3 at 9:50 p.m. Reginald G. Wilstie was traveling west on Route 957 when he failed to negotiate a left hand turn in the roadway, causing his 2000 Dodge Caravan to travel off of the north berm before striking a road sign. Wilstie's vehicle continued to travel along the berm, striking a utility pole and several small trees. The vehicle came to a rest along the north berm within the trees. He has been charged with driving on roadways laned for traffic. After an investigation, Wilstie was found to be under the influence of an alcohol. He was transported to Warren General Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries by the Sugar Grove VFD EMS. Blood alcohol results are pending.
Crash. Warren-based State Police responded to a one vehicle accident on Route 69 at its intersection with Route 957 on March 2 at 8:25 p.m. John L. Wagner, Sugar Grove, was driving a 2008 Subaru Forester when he suffered a medical condition and failed to stop for a stop sign posted at the intersection. Wagner's vehicle traveled through the intersection, striking the curb and then a wooden post which held several street signs. The vehicle continued to travel northbound through a grassy area before traveling down a bank and overturning, coming to rest on the driver's side of the vehicle in the middle of a creek. Wagner was transported by ambulance to WCA Hospital.EmergyCare Ambulance, Sugar Grove VFD, and Lander VFD were assisted on the scene.
