Getting Volunteers

Connected

Tuesday, May 8, from 6-8:00 p.m. at the Sugar Grove Fire Hall on Willson Street the Sugar Grove Borough Council is also looking into providing a new public event to provide information about the government and nonprofit services available to our residents. The event will provide residents the opportunity to find answers to their questions, address concerns, and ultimately assist them in finding ways to become involved in our community. This event is planned so that various local organizations can participate by hosting a table of information and have volunteers to speak to all those who attend. Organizations such as the scouts, planning and zoning, the library, the food bank, the fire department, the community centers, the day care and child programs in the area, the local churches, the sports booster clubs, the master gardeners, AMVETS, the American Legion, the senior centers, and more would be included. Watch for more information as the event details are worked out in the coming weeks and watch for ways you can reserve a place to provide information for your non-profit organization.

College Scholarship

The American Legion of Sugar Grove Post #758 is offering three scholarships to Eisenhower High School seniors. Information is available at the Eisenhower Guidance Office on this and other local scholarships available to our seniors.
