CLARION - Sheffield sophomore Ricky Prosen is back in the semifinals of the District 9 Class AA Wrestling Tournament at Clarion University.
After a bye in the first round, Prosen earned a 6-3 decision at 113 pounds Friday over Port Allegany's Lucas Manning to advance to Saturday's semifinal round against Brookville's Trey Constable (15-6). Prosen is 20-6 this season. As a freshman, he finished one match away from advancing to the Northwest Region Class AA Tournament last year.
Prosen's teammates didn't fare as well on Friday. However, Luke Gregerson advanced past the consolation preliminaries at 152 pounds. Hunter Jones recorded a first-round pin in the consy preliminaries.

District 10 Class AA Tournament
Sharon High School
SHARON - Two Eisenhower Knights have advanced to the semifinal round of the District 10 Class AA Wrestling Tournament after Friday's wrestling at Sharon High School.
Jake Johnson went 2-0 on Friday at 195 pounds, including a second-period pin over Jamestown's Jacob Koza. He earned a 6-3 decision over Sharpsville's Austin Rice, who received a bye in the first round, to advance to the semis on Saturday.
Ike teammate Trevor Spicer is also in the semis, at 182 pounds, earning a third-period pin over Jamestown's Joey Guthrie. Spicer earned a 6-5 decision in the quarterfinals over Hickory's Joey Hines.
Jeb Fedorchuk earned a first-round decision at 120, but fell to the consolation rounds in a 4-1 decision in the quarters. Dylan Baker was eliminated on Friday in an overtime loss at 126 pounds.
For Youngsville, no one is eliminated, but everyone has one loss after Friday.
Freshman Aaron Hoover earned a first-period pin in his first-round match at 113 pounds, but was pinned in the third period in the quarterfinal match. Jaykup Durlin also pinned his first-match opponent, but was pinned in his second match.
Hunter Proctor lost a 12-6 decision to Mercer's Rodney Brant at 132 pounds, but earned an 8-6 win over Sharon's Doug Baldwin in the consolation first round. Procter reversed him and turned him for two back points.
Jeremy Lyon lost a 5-0 decision at 170 pounds to get knocked to the consolation round.
