The magic number is four.
That's how many wrestlers each of Eisenhower and Youngsville have at this weekend's District 10 Class AA Wrestling Tournament at Sharon High School.
And that's how many both coaches would like to see get through to the Northwest Region Tournament next weekend, also at Sharon High School.

Good start
In his first postseason wrestling tournament, Youngsville freshman Aaron Hoover advanced to the District 10 Class AA Championships with a third-place finish at 113 pounds. "Jake's (Jaykup Durlin's) got a good chance. Aaron Hoover's got a pretty good shot. The others have a couple tough ones ahead, but they've got a shot, too," said Youngsville coach Scott Ishman.
Youngsville got third-place finishes from Hoover (113) and Durlin (220), as well as fourth-place showings from Jeremy Lyon (170) and Hunter Proctor (132), at last weekend's Section 1-AA Tournament at Union City High School.
No section champs, but the name of the game is moving on. This week, they'll have to finish in the top six in their respective weight classes to advance to regions.
Proctor is the only returning district qualifier for Youngsville, and none have wrestled their first-round opponents before. At least not recently. Proctor was just one win shy of advancing to regions last year as a sophomore.
Same goes for Eisenhower senior Dylan Baker. He was one win shy. He'll go for it in his fourth straight trip to districts, a week after earning his 100th career high school win as a Knight.
Eisenhower's Jeb Fedorchuk will advance as a section runner-up at 120 pounds. Ike teammates Jake Johnson (195 pounds) and Baker (126) were third at sections this past weekend - and are both returning district qualifiers - and Trevor Spicer (182) was fourth at Union City.
"I just want our guys to stick with what got us here this weekend," said Eisenhower coach Kris Black. "A lot of times when guys get to this level they want to try different things, but I'd like us to stick with what we've been doing. I think all of our guys have a good chance. We had a good week of practice and we're healthy. That's extremely big at this time of year."
Wrestling starts at 5:15 p.m. on Friday, resumes at 8:45 a.m. on Saturday, the consolation finals are tentatively set for 3 p.m. and finals at 4:30 p.m.
Due to construction, the main parking lots will be closed at Sharon High School, with alternate lots within walking distance to the high school (Case Ave. Elementary School, Sharon Regional Hospital's gated lots, behind Walgreens Pharmacy, and the Sharon/Chrysler Plymouth lot).
