Warren Area High School graduate and Penn State Behrend women's swim team member Julie Cook competed for the Lions at the Allegheny Collegiate Conference Championships Thursday at Grove City College.
Cook and teammates started the event by setting a new AMCC meet record as well as a team record, winning the 200 free relay in 1:41.13. Cook and teammates later delivered a fifth-place overall finish in the 400 free relay. The teams' time was a 4:05.63.

Three county boys competed and won at the Knights of Columbus Free Throw Contest regional championship held Saturday in Clarion. All three will be competing at the state level in Hershey on March 17. Warren Area High School graduate Hollie Rapp is among six seniors being honored during the Pitt-Bradford women's basketball team's final home game on Saturday afternoon in Bradford against Pitt-Greensburg. The Pitt-Bradford men's team, of which Warren grad Tyler Fantaskey is a freshman member, plays at 1 p.m., with the women's game to follow.
