OIL CITY - Sheffield closed out its regular season dual match schedule with a 42-27 loss to Cranberry on Thursday.
The Wolverines (4-12) five total winners on Thursday with four of those coming via forfeit. Forfeit winners for Sheffield were Hunter Jones at 220 pounds, Ricky Prosen at 113 pounds, Marc Nadal at 126 pounds and Tyler Brisson at 138 pounds.
Sheffield's only on-mat winner was Brandon Johnston at 120 pounds. Johnston overcame Cranberry's Seth Harry to earn a 7-4 decision.
The Wolverines next compete at the District 9 Class AA Championships scheduled for February 24-25 at Clarion University.
