Clarendon
Accident. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 6 at 3 p.m. on Saturday. Police said the accident occurred as Diane M. Donovan, 60, Warren, was traveling west on Route 6 on the snow covered roadway when she lost control of her vehicle and left her lane of travel, crossing the center line and then left the roadway. The vehicle came to its final rest on it's passenger side facing east. Police said Donovan, who was wearing her seatbelt received no injuries. Pennmark Towing towed the vehicle from the scene of the accident.
Accident. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Route 6 at 4:10 p.m. on Saturday. Police said the accident occurred as Hilton J. Darr, 64, Shippenville, Pa., was traveling west on Route 6 and when he negotiated a left hand curve he lost control of his vehicle, left his lane of travel, crossed over the center line and left the roadway. The vehicle came to it's finale rest on it's passengers side facing east. Police said Darr, who was wearing his seatbelt received no injuries. Pennmark Towing towed the vehicle from the scene of the accident.
Conewango Twp.
Possession of drug paraphernalia. At 8 p.m. on Saturday, police were investigating an incident of criminal mischief that had occurred earlier in the day at 119 1/2 Vine St. At that time the landlord and police met with the landlord and the tenant, Michael D. Swartz. During a check of the residence the landlord found two items of drug paraphernalia inside. Police found that Swartz owned both of the items. Police are subsequently charging Swartz with two counts misdemeanor drug paraphernalia. Charges have been filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.
Glade Twp.
Possession of a controlled substance. Warren-based state police investigated a complaint on Tuesday from Warren Area High School. Police said Douglas Lee Haight, 19, was found to be in possession of a small amount of a controlled substance. Charges were filed.
Mead Twp.
Domestic violence/harassment. Warren-based state police reported that at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, a known 22 year old female from Warren and known 29 year old male from Warren subjected each other to physical contact during a domestic dispute at a private residence. Police said both individuals are being cited with harassment. Charges are being filed with District Justice Laura Bauer.
Pine Grove Twp.
Harassment. Warren-based state police reported that between the hours of 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Martha L. Weston, Russell, received numerous unwanted phone calls. An investigation is continuing.
Sheffield.
Accident. Warren-based state police responded at 9:19 p.m. on Monday to a one-vehicle accident on Keystone Ave. Police said the accident occurred as Valerie S. Bailey, 36, Clarendon, was traveling west on Keystone Ave. when she lost control of her vehicle and started to "fishtail". Bailey tried to regain control of her vehicle but was unable to and crossed the center line and hit an embankment on the eastbound berm with the front drivers side of the vehicle. The vehicle then rolled onto it's passengers side and came to a final rest facing south. Police said Bailey, who was not wearing her seatbelt was transported to Warren General Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries by EmergyCare. Police are charging Bailey with driving vehicle at safe speed.
Disorderly conduct. Warren-based state police issued a citation to a known 14 year old male for disorderly conduct after he engaged in fighting, threatening, violent and tumultuous acts during a period of instruction resulting in the cessation and loss of instruction for a class of 15 students. The citation was filed with District Justice Glenn Carlson.
Sugar Grove
Accident. Warren-based state police responded to a one-vehicle accident on Yankee Bush Rd. at 7:25 a.m. on Thursday. Police said the accident occurred as Rebecca L. Sleeman, 22, Warren, was traveling north on Yankee Bush Rd. when she lost control on the icy roadway while traveling downhill on a left hand curve. Sleeman's vehicle began to spin counterclockwise and traveled across the southbound lane and make impact with the southbound embankment. Her vehicle continued to spin counterclockwise and rolled onto it's passengers side. Police said Sleeman was wearing her seatbelt and was uninjured.
