LOUIS SCALISE

Louis R. Scalise, 89, of Largo, FL formerly of 103 Conewango Ave., Warren, PA passed away Friday (February 3, 2012) in Largo, FL.

He was born November 16, 1923 in Warren, PA a son of the late Joseph A. and Filomena Muscaro Scalise, Sr.

He was a graduate of Warren Area High School and served in the U.S. Army for three years during World War II, in the Philippines.

Before his retirement in 1981, he was employed by the United Refining Company for 40 years and also worked as a self employed plumber for many years.

He was a past member of the Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Church, a past commander of the Lakewood Memorial Post 1286 American Legion and a member of the Lakewood Rod & Gun Club. He enjoyed playing golf, cooking, swimming and spending time with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife Diana Scalise of FL, his children Sandra Donato, Jeffrey (Judith) Scalise, David Scalise all of Sheffield, PA, Diana (Rick) Johnson of Jamestown, NY and Debra (Jamie) Gomez of San Diego, Chile, and by several grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and greatgreatgrandchildren.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers Chingo, Eugene and Joseph Scalise, Jr. and by four sisters Frances Scalise, Mary Regina, Angeline Camp and Delena Giddens and a grandson Joey Donato.

Funeral services and interment were held in Florida.
