DOUGLAS YAEGLE

February 13, 2012
The Times Observer

Douglas Myron Yaegle, 58, of Zimmerman Hill Road, Clarendon, PA, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, February 10, 2012, at his home.

Doug was born February 27, 1953, in Warren, the son of Myron and Elizabeth "Bettie" Yaegle. He was a 1971 graduate of Warren High School, and then joined the US Navy where he was a mechanic. After the Navy, he went on to work for Pittsburgh DeMoines Steel. Doug was a member of War Dogs-the 17th Brigade. He was a huge animal lover, and especially loved his dog, Rambo, his two cats, and chickens. Always busy with projects, Doug never stopped working. Whether he was cutting wood, working on household projects, or building his own trike, his exemplary work ethic and attitude toward life will proudly be remembered by his family. Doug's constant laughter will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of forty years, Cheryl Yaegle of Clarendon, PA; a son, Jonathan Yaegle of Warren, PA; a soninlaw, Keith Eggleston, also of Warren, PA; three grandchildren, Jason Yaegle, and Austin and Taylor Eggleston; three siblings, Judy Honey, David Yaegle, and his wife Tina, and Janice Yaegle; and several nieces and nephews.

On October 27, 2010, Doug was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Eggleston.

Friends will be received at the Grace United Methodist Church, 501 Penna. Ave. E., Warren PA., on Wednesday, February 15, for one hour prior to a memorial service to be held there at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Kevin Haley, pastor, officiating.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Salvation Army, 311 Beech St., Warren, PA 16365.

The Peterson-Blick Funeral Home, Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. E., Warren, has been entrusted with arrangements.
