Gymnastics results

Warren County members of the Lakewood Starz gymnastics team competed at the "Get Pumped" Invitational held Saturday, February 4, at the Lakewood Family YMCA. Lydia Clark, Emily Goodwill and Morgan Hoffman all recorded individual first-place finishes.

Lakewood's Level 8 team placed first overall while the Level 5 team was third.

Here are the results for Warren County gymnasts competing in the event:

Jr. high hoops

The Beaty White junior high boys basketball team went 3-2 in five recent games against Eisenhower, West Lake, Kane, Corry and Oil City.

In a 43-24 victory over Eisenhower on January 28, Jason Waterfield led the Dragons with 22 points. Noah Becker scored eight points, Seth Baldensperger had six, Tristan Davis four, James Sturdevant two points and Justin Conarro one point.

In a 33-20 loss to West Lake on January 30, Waterfield led the Dragons with seven points. Becker scored six, Dominic Funari four and Davis three.

In a 29-13 victory over Kane on February 1, Becker scored 14 points, Waterfield added eight, Braiden Blair three and Reed Swanson and Davis two points each.

In a 26-21 win over Corry on February 2, Becker scored a team-high 10 points. Davis finished with six, Blair four, Waterfield three and Funari, Tyler Gillotti and Curtis Lasecki two each.

The Dragons (11-6) finished their season with a 33-23 loss to Oil City on Wednesday. Becker led the way with eight points, Waterfield scored seven and Funari, Derick Nowacki and Gillotti two points each.

Little League

Warren County Youth Baseball and Softball Association (WCYBSA) registration is online this year, through March 9, at www.wcybsa.org.
